Due to COVID-19 businesses are facing unprecedented problems and challenges and organisations have been proactive in delivering courses, some free of charge, in response to industry needs.  Many of these are hosted digitally. Businesses are having to change and adapt their activity in order to survive and customer service has never been more important.

Tourism NI Tourism Enterprise Development (TED) Programme

 

The UK Government has announced two 'Help to Grow' initiatives for business to Express Interest in, Help to Grow Management and Help to Grow Digital. Help to Grow Management is a 12 week programme June 2021 and is subsidised by Government, terms and conditions apply. Help to Grow Digital, this autumn small businesses will be able to get free impartial advice on how technology can boost their performance through a new online platform. Eligible businesses will also be able to get a discount of up to 50% on the costs of approved software, worth up to £5,000, terms and conditions apply.

Hospitality and Tourism Recovery Programme

Identified by industry representatives, funded by the Department for the Economy (DfE), and delivered in partnership across NI FE Colleges, this free programme has been designed to provide a skills-led approach to supporting managers as they move through the pandemic restrictions into recovery in the year ahead. It includes a Management Skills Spotlight series, a Leadership and Management Qualification and a Technical Skills series.
