Due to COVID-19 businesses are facing unprecedented problems and challenges and organisations have been proactive in delivering courses, some free of charge, in response to industry needs.  Many of these are hosted digitally. Businesses are having to change and adapt their activity in order to survive and customer service has never been more important. We regularly update on training opportunities, also webinars and tutorials, within our tourism ezine, so please check it also in addition to the information provided below.

Tourism NI Tourism Enterprise Development (TED) Programme

 

The UK Government has announced two 'Help to Grow' initiatives for business to Express Interest in, Help to Grow Management and Help to Grow Digital. Help to Grow Management is a 12 week programme June 2021 and is subsidised by Government, terms and conditions apply. Help to Grow Digital, this autumn small businesses will be able to get free impartial advice on how technology can boost their performance through a new online platform. Eligible businesses will also be able to get a discount of up to 50% on the costs of approved software, worth up to £5,000, terms and conditions apply.

Identified by industry representatives, funded by the Department for the Economy (DfE), and delivered in partnership across NI FE Colleges, some of the webinars from this series remain available to view. Hospitality and Tourism Recovery Programme

Northern Regional College

NRC offer courses as part of  DFE Skills Focus, funded by the Department for the Economy, companies (including Social Enterprises) and sole traders can currently receive 100% funding to support the cost of some training. To be eligible for funding a company must be based in Northern Ireland,  have less than 250 employees and want to develop staff or their own qualifications, as a business owner, at level 2 and above. ​
