What can your Visitor Information Centre do for you?

Causeway Coast and Glens manage 6 Visitor Information Centres (VICs) within the Borough. Our VICs are traditionally the first point of contact for thousands of visitors every year who rely on them for up-to-date information and advice on what to see and do in the area. 

 

Ballymoney Visitor Information Centres is open to the public Monday to Saturday  09:00 to 17:00. 

Ballycastle Visitor Information Centre is open to the public Monday to Saturday  09:00 to 17:00. (July and August Mon-Sat 9:00 to 18:00. Sundays June to September 12:00 to 16:00)

Limavady Visitor Information Centre is open Monday to Friday 9:30 to 17:00 Saturday 10:00 - 13:00. Wednesday and Thursday Evenings 19:00 – 21:00

 

From 18th March the following seasonal visitor information centres are open:

Bushmills Visitor Information Centre is open to the public Monday to Saturday 09:00 to 17:00. Sundays June to September 12:00 to 16:00

July and August Mon-Sat 9:00 to 18:00

Portrush Visitor Information Centre is open to the public Monday to Saturday 09:00 to 17:00. Sundays June to September 12:00 to 16:00

Rathlin Island Boathouse Visitor Information Centre is open to the public Monday to Saturday 09:00 to 17:00. Sundays June to September 12:00 to 16:00

All of the centres are closed for lunch from 13:00 - 13:30.

There is also a Local Information Centre in Cushendall, various seasonal opening hours

 

In addition to being a great source of information and ideas for visitors, their role as a useful platform for local business promotion is possibly less well known. Many visitor centres support local tourism businesses by encouraging longer stays and greater spend.

Work in partnership with your local Visitor Information Centre

  • Share your accommodation availability
  • Rack your brochure (subject to space)
  • Sell your tickets for tours and experiences
  • Showcase and sell local craft and artisan food products
  • Promote your event. 
  • Access Visit Causeway Coast and Glens Literature
  • Help and advice with updating your online entries

*Please note that a commission fee applies for any sales made. 

Accommodation providers please keep in touch with our Visitor Information Centres and let them know if you have availability by emailing visitor.information@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk with the word ‘Availability’ in the Subject Heading. Accommodation Commission for any direct bookings made by our team is 10%.
