Off Street Car Parking

Off Street Car Parking
As of 1st April 2015 off-street carparks within our Council boundary have transferred to Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.
Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council partners with JustPark to bring cashless parking across the region
Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is proud to announce that JustPark is now the cashless parking provider across all council owned parking spaces throughout the Borough.
The council is committed to providing residents, commuters and visitors across the region with a convenient and positive parking experience. Whilst the ability to pay with cash will remain, this partnership will ensure that those who wish to pay via the best-in-class mobile app, have the ability to do so.
The new service will also deliver functionality such as start-stop, enabling drivers to start their parking booking when they arrive at the car park and stop the payment when they return to their car, meaning payment is only taken for time parked whilst also helping drivers to avoid overstaying penalties.
The JustPark app will be cheaper (8p transaction fee compared to 15p on the previous provider) and easier to use – it’s the highest rated car parking payment app in the UK, with an average satisfaction rating of 96%, has 3.5 million users, and a 5* Trustpilot rating.

Dunluce Avenue Car Park, Portrush.
After being assessed by the British Parking Association, Dunluce Avenue car park in Portrush has been awarded the Disabled Parking Accreditation (DPA) award and also the Park Mark Safer Parking Award.
This Disabled Parking Accreditation award recognises off-street car parks that are accessible to disabled people.
It is an independent not not-for-profit scheme run by Disabled Motoring UK and managed by the British Parking Association. The DPA aims at providing parking for disabled motorists and reducing the abuse of disabled bays.
Car Parks that achieve the DPA will be demonstrating to their customers that they are committed to creating high quality parking facilities for disabled people.
The Safer Parking Scheme is administered by the British Parking Association and is a national standard for UK car parks that have low crime and measures in place to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.
A Park Mark is awarded to each car park that achieves the challenging standards. The distinctive Park Mark signage helps drivers find car parks where they can confidently leave their vehicle, knowing the environment is safer.
Whilst there are other private facilities in Northern Ireland which hold these awards, Causeway Coast and Glens and Borough Council are the first and only local authority in Northern Ireland to gain these prestigious Awards.
Upcoming Car Park Closures/Disruptions:-
A section of Milburn Road car park Coleraine will be closed to facilitate work to replace the floodlights in the adjacent tennis courts. Apologies for any inconvenience.
