Bulky Household Waste Collection

Householders can book a bulky household waste collection.  There is a fee of £5 for each bulky household waste item collected.  Only items requested and paid for will be collected.  Items must be left by the householder at a suitable location outside their dwelling (e.g. driveway, garden) and be safely accessible to council staff.  Soft furnishing items should be kept dry as much as possible.

Items that will not be collected include fixtures and fittings (e.g. bathroom suites, doors, kitchen units, windows), bags and boxes, concrete/rubble, garden waste including soil, items such as boilers/pianos/radiators, oil tanks, trade waste, tyres (please note this list is not exhaustive).

Depending on the item, it may be that it can be brought to your nearest household recycling centre and disposed of free of charge.

Also, there are a number of charity shops locally which may be interested in receiving some of the items householders no longer have a use for, but are in good condition.  A list of charity shops can be found by clicking here.
