The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is the Data Controller for the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020.  Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council provides the administrative support (RDP Admin Unit) through a contract with the Causeway Coast and Glens Local Action Group and as such is the Data Processor.

Where a subject access request or other rights based requests are submitted in relation to the Rural Development Programme, it will be forwarded to DAERA for their attention and action.

Administration of the Rural Development Programme (RDP) funding

We (RDP Admin Unit) currently hold personal information on an internal database and/or in hard copy for several purposes.

Pre-Application, the database holds the personal information of those who took specific steps to enter into a contract though an Expression of Interest form or sought advice on the eligibility of a potential project.

Your data may include some or all of the following: name, business/organisation name, address, email address, telephone number.

We only use your information for the purpose of administering and animating the RDP and for no other purpose.

We may share your personal information with the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) and other relevant business service areas within Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council in order to complete the funding application process. We will not share your information with any other party without your prior consent.

We will dispose of your personal information when we no longer require it and in line with the contract with DAERA.

We will continue to contact you periodically (Quarterly and at each Funding Call) to discuss other engagement opportunities.

Post application, the data was provided by those who took specific steps to enter into a contract at Expression of Interest and Application stage.

In addition to the details outlined under Pre-Application (above), we will also share your data with Invest NI and, in line with the contract with DAERA, we will dispose of or return your personal information to DAERA when we no longer require it, ie, after a period of 10 years from the date the last payment is made.

In compliance with government guidelines, on occasion, we are contacted by other funders about potential and actual applicants to our Programme as part of a double funding check.  We will share relevant information with other funders to avoid the risk of double funding for a project.
