Mayor to send Letter of Condolence following London attack

The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is to send a Letter of Condolence in the wake of the London terror attack.

Seven people were killed in the incident which unfolded on London Bridge and in the Borough Market area on Saturday night.

The Mayor, Alderman Maura Hickey, said: “It is hard to believe that this has happened so soon after the Manchester arena attack. My sincere condolences go out to all those who have been left bereaved by this latest incident. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.

“I would like to commend all those from the emergency services who responded to this incident, and the hospital staff who are now treating the injured.

“I intend to send a Letter of Condolence to the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan conveying the sympathies of the Council and the people of the Borough.”
