Mayor recognises treble success of Drumsurn GAC Camogie team

Drumsurn GAC Camogie team have been hosted by the Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens at a civic reception in recognition of their treble success.

The girls won the Junior Derry League, Derry Junior Championship and Ulster Junior Championship in 2023, capping off a hugely successful season.

Congratulating the players and management, the Mayor, Councillor Steven Callaghan said: “I was delighted to welcome this group of players to Cloonavin and recognise their oustanding sporting achievements over the last year.

“I want to commend them and their coaches for the dedication and passion they have shown. They have set a fantastic example for young people to follow, particularly for girls thinking about taking up this sport. I wish the club well as they seek to capitalise on their recent success.”
