Go For It- Free advice for new businesses in the Borough

Tue, February 20, 2018

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council has recently launched the local Business Start-up Programme- Go for It.

Providing free support for local entrepreneurs to help turn business ideas into a reality, the programme is a great boost to the local economy.

Go For It is part funded by Invest Northern Ireland and The European Regional Development Fund, under the Investment for Growth & Jobs Northern Ireland (2014-2020) programme.

It is delivered locally free of charge by a team of highly experienced business mentors in Causeway and Roe Valley Enterprise Agencies.

The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Councillor Joan Baird OBE showed her support for the programme and said: “As a Council, we are committed to improving local economic prosperity and confidence in the Boroughs future. The Go For It programme provides an invaluable service to anyone who is seeking advice and the expert advisors will work with you in developing a business plan. I am delighted that we are helping to deliver this programme for the many entrepreneurs across the area.”

Martin Clark, Council’s Business Development Manager continued, “From the many years of running the Business Start Up programme, business advisors at our two Enterprise Agencies have probably heard every fear, reservation or worry there is about taking the first steps to starting out on your own.  The programme is designed to work through these: to clarify goals, explore potential problems, map out the route to success and even to help with access to finance to start up or grow a business.  Armed with a business plan, you’ll be on the road to setting up your own enterprise.  I would encourage anyone considering a new business idea to get in touch.”
