Enterprise Week in the Causeway Coast and Glens

Fri, February 16, 2018

The inaugural Enterprise Week for the Causeway Coast and Glens takes place from March 2 – 9.

Organised by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, in partnership with the Causeway Chamber, Causeway Enterprise Agency, Roe Valley Enterprises and a host of business support agencies, it features events to suit all businesses at various stages of their entrepreneurial journey. The overall aim is to help local businesses to succeed.

During the week, there will be an event for school pupils from the age of 10 which will focus on the basics of running a business through a Young Enterprise Masterclass. Businesses will benefit from a Digital Marketing Bootcamp supported by Causeway Enterprise Agency and Roe Valley Enterprises working together with Ulster University. International Women’s Day falls during the campaign and Council is proud to jointly sponsor the Women in Business “Be Bold For Progress” conference with Mid and East Antrim Borough Council while Ulster Bank will deliver information around cyber security and financing.

Commenting on the Enterprise Week programme, Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Councillor Joan Baird OBE said: “Council is delighted to lead on a programme of events and activities during the inaugural Enterprise Week for our region. Whether it's training or inspiration you are seeking, we hope you will find an event of interest to you and your business. Working together with a range of economic development stakeholders, the week will showcase employment opportunities, careers advice and business support avenues. I would encourage everyone with an interest in developing their business to join us during Enterprise Week, and be a part of the Borough’s exciting future.
