Food Safety and Port Health – Public Health Agency Work
The Public Health Agency is the Data Controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the personal data we are gathering for the purposes of the protection of public health.
You are providing your personal data to the Council whose lawful basis for processing is contained within the Public Health (NI) Act 1967 and the International Health Regulations 2005 and regulations made there under.
Your personal data will be shared with the Public Health Agency and may be shared with the Health & Social Care Trusts who have responsibilities in providing this service and with other statutory bodies, if necessary to protect public health.
Your personal data may be shared internally within the Council with staff for investigation and enforcement purposes including food safety.
Your personal data will not be shared or disclosed to any other organisation without your consent, unless the law permits or places an obligation on the Council to do so.
The personal data is held and stored by the Council in a safe and secure manner and in compliance with Data Protection legislation and in line with the Council’s Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.
