The Department for Communities has made available funding for the transition from emergency food support which was provided during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic to more sustainable responses to address food poverty in the Borough.

Council has developed this grant programme to provide financial assistance to community and voluntary organisations operating in Causeway Coast and Glens to undertake projects that will help reduce the cost of and improve access to food and other essential supplies and to promote and develop activities and programmes that develop good food practices and sustainable ways to reduce food waste in the Borough.

The Sustainable Food & Essential Supplies Grant Programme is a one off grant programme which is 100% funded by DfC. Funded activities can span mid December 2021 to 31st March 2022.
