King Charles III Coronation Grant Fund will open for applications on Tuesday 11th April 2023.

The purpose of the Grant Programme is to provide funding to community and voluntary organisations for small scale community events and activities to mark the occasion of King Charles III Coronation.  Events/activities must be completed / have taken place by 8 May 2023.

Activities might include tea parties, horticultural events, gardening or tree planting, fun days, talks, exhibitions, workshops.

Themes might include:

  • Celebration of community, encouraging people to get together and make connections through music, food, arts.
  • Intergenerational projects that encourage sharing of stories and activities and getting to know a different generation and an understanding of the past.
  • Any aspect of royalty, from the modern royal family, through to historic kingdoms, royal sites of local significance and the kings and queens celebrated in our folklore and mythology.

Applicants should show how their project meets the following objectives:-

i.  Celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III in a spirit of inclusion and respect

ii.  Encourage, promote and celebrate community connections 

The Fund will remain open until all funds are allocated or until the Coronation Event on 6th May 2023.
