Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council recently launched the Causeway Coast and Glens (CCAG) Food Network which has been designed to support and showcase all businesses involved in the food industry. This includes growers, producers, retailers and hospitality.

The CCAG Food Network aims to showcase quality local food and drink through local hospitality, markets, farm shops and retail outlets; Develop and promote the Causeway Coast and Glens area as a food destination; and provide support, advice, training and mentoring to assist business growth and start-ups.

Speaking after the recent launch of the CCAG Food Network, Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Councillor Michelle Knight-McQuillan said, “The Causeway Coast and Glens Food Network is an excellent opportunity for our local food and drinks industry to develop and promote their businesses.

“We want to help get local produce onto our menus and shop shelves, for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors.  The Causeway Coast and Glens Borough is already known as a world class tourism destination.  In time, we want to add food destination to that accolade through further industry development and promotion.”
