A jazz duo from the iconic super group Steely Dan are set to create an unforgettable evening at Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart on Saturday 14th March from 8pm.

Jim Beard (keyboard) and Jon Herington (guitar) will honour their musical roots with an eclectic evening of instrumental performances. Their collaboration has been woven into many projects through the years beginning with their early college days and jazz super group Chroma.

In addition to their longstanding contributions to Steely Dan, Jim brings his experience with a long list of the world’s best modern music-makers, including Wayne Shorter, Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin, John Scofield, and Mike Stern, while Jon has been supporting guitarist for Boz Scaggs, Madeleine Peyroux, Donald Fagen, Bette Midler, the late Phoebe Snow, and many others.

The duo will present a collection of music including jazz standards, pop classics and selected tunes from their solo recordings. Listeners can expect the unexpected and will be treated to a new approach to songs by luminaries such as Weather Report, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Steely Dan and many more.
