PCSP Public Meeting to take place in Coleraine

Wed, June 22, 2022

Members of the public are invited to attend an open meeting with the PSNI organised by Causeway Coast and Glens Policing and Community Safety Partnership.

It will take place in the Lodge Hotel in Coleraine on Wednesday 29th June at 7pm (light refreshments available from 6.30pm).

The meeting will provide a platform to discuss important matters around confidence in police performance.

PCSP Chairperson Councillor Adrian McQuillan said: “This is one of the PCSP’s strategic priorities, and it is important that the public are a part of the process.

“The PCSP is concerned by recent challenges to the reputation of policing in the Borough, and we will continue to do all we can to ensure ongoing accountability.

“It is crucial that we can provide reassurance to our local communities about the standard of policing across Causeway Coast and Glens.

“Our residents deserve to have confidence in the PSNI, and to know that its members are doing all that they can to uphold the rule of law. We all share an expectation of protection from crime and a guarantee that our towns, villages and rural areas are safe places for all.

“This meeting is an important engagement opportunity, and I would encourage people to attend.”

A question-and-answer session with members of the PSNI will take place on the night, or alternatively you can submit a written question in advance by emailing pcsp@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk
