Members of the OMD Dance group from Limavady have enjoyed a reception in Cloonavin in recognition of their successes this year.

The young dancers have won numerous awards including World Titles at The World Dance Masters World Championships competition which took place in Blackpool this summer.

Commenting on their success, the Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Councillor Ivor Wallace said: “I was very pleased to welcome these talented young people to Cloonavin and celebrate their successes with them.

“It’s clear to see how much enjoyment they get from dancing, and the friendships they have made through this, and I wish them every success for the future.”

Dance instructor Orla Dixon added: “I would like to thank the Mayor for recognising the hard work and dedication of the OMD dancers by holding this reception for us.

“I am very proud of every dancer in the school, and I am extremely grateful for the support they receive from their families and friends.

“We had a very enjoyable evening with the Mayor, and I know it means a lot to our members to receive this recognition.”
