Lottery funding advice for community groups in Causeway Coast and Glens Borough

The Big Lottery Fund in conjunction with Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council and the Causeway Coast & Glens Networks will be hosting a number of workshops in August to provide an opportunity for community and voluntary groups to hear about the Big Lottery Fund’s current funding programmes.

There will be an opportunity for community and voluntary groups to meet with the team from the Big Lottery Fund on a one to one basis to discuss specific project ideas that groups may have, and to discuss if their project fits with a particular Big Lottery Fund Programme.  Lottery staff will also provide advice on the best Big Lottery programme to make an application to.

Joanne McDowell, Big Lottery Fund NI director said, “This is a fantastic opportunity for groups to come along and talk to a member of our team about their project ideas. We can discuss our programmes and give guidance on what we would expect to see from organisations who want to apply to us.”

The workshops will begin with a short 15 minute presentation on the various Big Lottery Fund Programmes including the new People & Communities Programme and Awards for All.  One to one sessions will then commence after the presentation.

The first workshops take place on Monday 15th August from 2-4pm in Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre, Limavady and from 6-8pm at Causeway Rural & Urban Network (CRUN) offices in Coleraine.

The next workshops take place on Tuesday 23rd August from 2-4pm in Sheskburn House in Ballycastle and from 6-8pm in the Building Community Resource Centre in Ballymoney.

It is essential that groups book a one to one slot with a member of the Big Lottery Fund team beforehand, to do this you must confirm your attendance and book your slot with Zara Curry on 028 7034 7032 or email zara.curry@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk.
