Flowerfield Arts Centre is the first venue on the island of Ireland to present Georgia O’Keeffe – 'Memories of Drawings', an exciting new touring exhibition from the Hayward Gallery at the Southbank Centre, London.

The exhibition of this remarkable collection of work, from the pioneering American artist, remains open to visitors until April 30th.

It showcases 21 photogravures of drawings produced by the artist from 1915-1963, reflecting the period in which she established herself as a major figure in American Modernism.

The exhibition has been well received by visitors who have commented on what a privilege it is to experience, and how haunting, distinctive and beautiful the works are.

The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council Councillor Richard Holmes said:

“We are delighted that some of Georgia O’Keefe’s most significant works are being hosted in Portstewart as part of this touring exhibition, which is a great endorsement for Flowerfield Arts Centre. Please come along to appreciate this exhibition during its stay in our Borough and get involved with the creative opportunities which will run alongside it.”

To complement the exhibition, Flowerfield Arts Centre has programmed some fantastic creative learning activities for adults inspired by the artist’s work, as well as workshops for kids with Gallery 2 transformed into a fantastic creative learning zone with activities for children and reference books on the artist.
