Creative courses begin in Ballycastle

Creative courses organised by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council start in Ballycastle this month.

If you would like to explore or improve your artistic talents, there are still places left on the Painting Course which begins in Sheskburn House on Thursday 19th January from 7pm-9pm.

The classes will be led by experienced art tutor Louise Winward. No experience is necessary and the classes are open to people of all abilities. The course lasts for 10 weeks and costs £45 per person.

A new series of free creative writing workshops also begins on Thursday. The class will be led by experienced writer and tutor Bernie McGill. The course lasts for 12 weeks and runs from 7.30pm - 9.30pm every week. 

Speaking about the events, the Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Alderman Maura Hickey said: “These classes are a fantastic way for people to learn and develop new skills. I sincerely hope that these new workshops in Ballycastle encourage people to enhance their creativity in a fun and enjoyable way.”
