Black, blue and brown bin collections continue to take place as normal.

Householders are reminded to set their bin out the night before or no later than 7am on collection day.

New guidelines from DAERA on dealing with waste:

Wash your hands before and after handling your  bins.
Put cloths, wipes and gloves used for cleaning in the general waste bin.
Do not put tissues in your recycling bins - there are people sorting your waste, please respect their health and safety.
Always disinfect the handles of your  bins before and after collection.

If you are self-isolating:

Place personal waste, used tissues, and disposable cleaning cloths or gloves in disposable rubbish bags.
Put that bag into a second bag, tie them securely and kept separate from other waste for 72 hours before putting into your usual external general household waste bin.
Also make sure to keep this waste away from children and pets.

Bulky waste collections

The bulky household waste collection service has now resumed.

There is a fee of £5 per item and only items requested and paid for will be collected.

Items must be left by the householder at a suitable location outside their dwelling (e.g. driveway, garden) and be safely accessible to council staff.

To comply with COVID-19 guidance, items should be left out for a minimum of 72 hours.  A collection request should not be made if anyone at the property is self-isolating with coronavirus symptoms.
