Pre-Application Workshops

 

The DAERA Rural Business Development Scheme aims to support the sustainability, recovery and development of rural micro-businesses across Northern Ireland by providing a small capital grant for the business.  The scheme offers funding of up to 50% of costs for capital items up to a maximum of £4,999.  The minimum grant awarded will be £500.  The total cost of the capital project must be a minimum of £1,000 and must not exceed £20,000.  Applicants must provide the remaining match funding towards the project. 

DAERA has introduced a new online application system for the 2022 Scheme and all eligible businesses must attend a pre-funding workshop before submitting their application. 

Sessions are expected to last approximately 60 minutes and businesses are required to attend the full session. In Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area, these must be pre-booked and will be delivered via Zoom, as follows:

 Please note, Council is required to provide DAERA with participant details captured during these sessions and this will form part of the applicant eligibility checks for this grant. Failure to attend a workshop will mean an application is deemed ineligible for funding.
