Slemish Market Supper Club presents “Taste the Island on Rathlin Island”, a gourmet weekend of island delights!
What: 2 Top chefs, 2 Top venues & 1 class Island!
When: Friday 4th October & Saturday 5th October 2019.
Who?: Chef Rob Curley of Slemish Market Supper Club (All Ireland Tapas Champion 2018 and winner of Best Emerging Irish Cuisine for Antrim at The Irish Restaurant Awards 2019 & 2018). Chef Gorka Arrieta of Sua Basque Fusion (Best chef in Kerry At The Irish Restaurant Awards 2019 & organiser of All Ireland Tapas & Pintxo Championship).
Join us on Friday 4th October at 19:15 in McCuaig’s Bar for a 6 course Taste the Island tapas menu in which we will use the great produce of the island and Slemish Market Garden from the sea, rockpools & fields all served tapas style. Enjoy the craic in McCuaig’s Bar until the wee hours and sleep in the beautiful Georgian Manor House Hotel overlooking Rathlin harbour.
In the morning, enjoy a breakfast in the Manor House Hotel and visit the attractions of the island before your “Taste the Island” dining experience back in the hotel at 13:00.
On Saturday 5th October at 13:00 there will be a “Taste the Island” dining experience lunch of 6 courses of fine food served in modern creative ways by 2 top chefs in the Manor Houses beautiful island restaurant. This surprise menu of tantalizing island treats will include a talk from resident Rathlin Island forager, Ksenia Zywczuk, prior to a lunch not to be missed!
You can catch the last ferry back to Ballycastle or enjoy another night on this magical island. This is a collaboration between Slemish Market Supper Club,The Manor House Hotel, McCuaig’s Bar, Sua Basque Fusion, Slemish Market Garden and forager Ksenia Zywczuk for #TasteTheIsland.
