Irish Power Kite & Sandyacht Association (IPKSA) Race Series

The IPKSA organises and runs wind based events on the island of Ireland. IPKSA members participate in a race season that runs from September through to May. Events take place at Benone Strand, County Londonderry and Bettystown, County Meath. The events involve both kite buggying and sandyachting.

There are three to four IPKSA race series weekends held on Benone Strand from September to April each year. Each weekend consists of an open day on the Saturday were members of the public can have a go with trained instructors and get a taster session by getting a day membership with the IPKSA. This is a great opportunity to learn how to fly a power kite or learn how to sail a sandyacht under the supervision of the IPKSA instructors. Racing normally takes place on the Sunday when the IPKSA members compete to determine who can become the Irish Champion.
