Imagine, Remake, Replay Photography Display

As part of the Reimagine Remake Replay project, a free 6 week photography course was offered for 16- 25 year olds. Using Ballymoney Museum's unique collection as inspiration, participants used modern photographic techniques to create the photographs on display within our new window display system.
George Shiels- A distinguished Irish Playwright Exhibition
10 September - 25 January
Ballymoney's playwright George Shiels (1881-1949) was one of the most popular Irish playwrights of the early twentieth century. He achieved great success writing for the Abbey Theatre, Dublin where in 1940, one of his most famous works, The Rugged Path, was seen by a record 40,000 people over a 3 month period. This exhibition sets out to celebrate the life of this local playwright and dramatist, and to commemorate the 70th anniversary of his death. The exhibition will include objects from the recently acquired Alex Blair collection, the Univerversity of Ulster, Coleraine Collection as well as the original George Shiels portriat painted by Jack Wilksinson from the Abbery Theatre Dublin.

Peace IV showcase Exhibition

An exhibition celebrating the work of all our groups through PEACEIV Understanding Our Area People and Places.
The work of our groups has revealed hidden histories and interconnected stories across our extrodinary Causeway landscape.
The exhibition will feature original artworks created in some projects as well as archives, sound recordings and collections related to each one.
The initiative is funded by European Union's Peace IV Programme, managed by Special EU Programmes Body.
