‘Xuberance’ promoting good relations among young people

Young people from across the Borough have recently enjoyed a five day residential as part of Causeway Coast and Glens ‘Good Relations’ programme.
Entitled ‘Xuberance’, the project is designed to build leadership skills and develop new friendships among young people from different cultural backgrounds.
Joy Wisener, Good Relations Officer at Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, commented: “Xuberance is one of our Good Relations projects which specifically targets young people as a key priority under the Executive’s strategy ‘Together: Building a United Community’. The project will continue with a celebration event where the brilliant young people can share their experiences and receive commendation for participating in Xuberance”
The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Councillor Joan Baird, OBE, added, “Council has a duty to promote positive community relations in the Causeway Coast and Glens area, and one of our aims is to build a community where our young people can play a full and active role in this. We trust that this is just the beginning of some important friendships that will continue beyond the life of this project”.
The Xuberance programme has received financial support from The Executive Office and was facilitated by Far and Wild.
