Soulful songstress and screen star Bronagh Gallagher set for Limavady gig

Fri, November 03, 2017

Soulful songstress and screen star Bronagh Gallagher will take to the stage in Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre on Saturday 11th November at 8pm.

Having plaid recently at The National Concert Hall in Dublin, Bronagh will play this intimate cabaret-style gig in Limavady before embarking on a tour of Switzerland.

Acclaimed for her leading roles in hit films The Commitments, Pulp Fiction and Star Wars Episode 1, her sense of theatre and performance attracts audiences that span generations of blues and jazz audiences internationally. Local audiences include those nostalgic of a home-grown talent and those with a newly sparked interest in a singer whose notoriety as a soulful entertainer continues to grow.

Bronagh has emerged as one of the great modern soul voices in Ireland and her new album ‘Gather Your Greatness’ delves fearlessly into lyrics that have a deep resonance with issues of humanitarian and social concern. Described as ‘one of the purest, clearest talents’ with ‘raw Irish soul’ by musician Brian Eno, this is set to be a unique musical performance not to be missed.

The event is the latest in a very special series of cabaret evenings at Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre, featuring home-grown, internationally recognised musicians.

Tickets priced at £15 are available by contacting the Box Office on 028 7776 0650.
