Service of Remembrance at previously unmarked grave

Mon, September 24, 2018

Members of the public are invited to attend a Service of Remembrance at Ballymoney Cemetery on Wednesday 3rd October at 11am for those interred in previously unmarked graves.

The service is being organised by James McMullan & Son Funeral Directors in conjunction with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.

The graves are now marked by a memorial stone put in place by the Funeral Directors.

Council records show more than 200 people who could not meet funeral costs were buried in the plot between 1891 to 1919.

Everyone is invited to attend this cross community event which will help to acknowledge all those who died in such unfortunate and tragic circumstances.
