Seasonal Arts Guide available now packed with exhibitions, workshops and events

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Arts Service is delighted to present its new seasonal Arts Guide which brings together an exciting programme for the public to enjoy.
It’s the first guide of its kind produced since the pandemic and the upcoming calendar of events offers exciting creative opportunities and cultural highlights in music and film, along with brand-new exhibitions from award-winning creatives.
The programme at Flowerfield Arts Centre features ‘Reflection’, a new exhibition from Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Cathal McNaughton. It will run from September 10th – November 5th, and is accompanied by a photography masterclass and a free talk for secondary school students.
In the auditorium, you can look forward to live music from Anthony Toner, Damien O’Kane and Ron Block Band, and Luka Bloom along with film screenings, and workshops in ceramics, glassmaking, painting, and movement for adults and children. There will also be community activities including Space to Write and Friday Art Club.
Seasonal events include a two-day Haunted House Open Day with live music from VOKXEN, frightening family film screenings of Hocus Pocus and Disney’s Coco, and creative workshops for children and young people.
The Christmas Craft Market, regarded as the Borough’s best festive market makes a return on Saturday 19th November and it is the place to find beautiful, high quality items by local and regional makers.
At Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre, the Danny Boy auditorium has an incredible music line-up including internationally acclaimed folk singer Cara Dillon from Dungiven, and Thomas Gabriel, the talented grandson of Johnny Cash. There will be performances from local favourites LORE and the Limavady Big Band while The Illegals are back with their ever-popular, classic rock revival show. For the best-loved 50s/60s hits, get dressed up for a night with seven-piece sensation, The Soda Popz.
Upcoming amazing exhibitions including Instanbul Alphabet by James Hughes (Photographer) and John Brown (Poet), and Púca in the Machine - an exploratory collaboration of work on the unique and unusual history, mythology, and ecology of the Poulaphuca Reservoir in Wicklow.
All this, plus creative workshops, Halloween and festive film screenings and a fabulous musical extravaganza to close the year - the Elvis Spectacular starring European Champion Ciaran Houlihan with his TCB band and The Sweet Sensations.
There will also be creative opportunities for adults and children in Ballymoney Town Hall and Sheskburn House, Ballycastle including painting, patchwork and jewellery making and creative art workshops for young refugees are now living in Causeway Coast and Glens
