‘Richard Croft at 82’ exhibition at Flowerfield Arts Centre

The remarkable painter and printmaker Richard J Croft is bringing his latest exhibition to Flowerfield Arts Centre during July.

Describing his method of painting as 'funambulism or tightrope walking', Croft switches between abstraction and realism. The exhibition is a mix of prints and paintings, old and new and particularly featuring his beloved ‘still life’ forms as well as landscapes and portraits.

Retired from a long teaching career, Croft shows no sign of slowing up and is still a busy practicing artist, working from his studio in Dundrum, Co Down.  A doyen of the Irish arts scene, his work is represented in the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Collection, The Crawford Art Gallery, Cork, The Government of Northern Ireland Collection, London University, Oxford University and Queen’s University of Belfast.

The exhibition opens on Saturday 7th July at noon and continues until the end of the month.

Flowerfield Galleries are open from Monday – Friday 9am-5pm and Saturdays 10am-1pm and admission is free.
