Register now for final series of engagement sessions ahead of The Open

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council will begin its final series of public engagement sessions ahead of The 148th Open in Portrush Town Hall on Monday 15th April.

The event will include an overview of Council’s events and animation programme which will complement the action on the course and bring a festival feel to the Borough.

Further sessions are due to take place in Limavady (April 30th), Ballymoney (May 1st), Coleraine (May 8th) and Ballycastle (May 9th).

Encouraging people to attend, the Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council Councillor Brenda Chivers said: “We are now just months away from staging our biggest ever event which represents a significant opportunity for the Borough. Our business community have a vital role to play in creating positive visitor experiences during The Open and we want to make sure they are fully equipped to help showcase the destination at its very best.”

Along with details about Council’s events programme, there will also be an opportunity to hear up-to-date traffic and travel arrangements, licensing guidance and find out how to get branding material to help your business celebrate the moment.

For those attending the event in Portrush, there is an afternoon (2pm – 3pm) or evening session (7pm – 8pm) to choose from.

Tuesday 30th April, Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre, 7pm -8pm.

Wednesday 1st May, Ballymoney Town Hall, 7pm -8pm.

Wednesday 8th May, Lodge Hotel, Coleraine, 7pm -8pm.

Thursday 9th May, Marine Hotel, Ballycastle. 7pm – 8pm.
