Professor of Poetry set to bring new collection to Flowerfield Arts Centre

Frank Ormsby will introduce his new collection of poetry ‘The Rain Barrel’ to an audience at Flowerfield Arts Centre on Friday 25th October.

Having recently been made the prestigious Professor of Poetry for Ireland, he is one of Northern Ireland’s most revered poets.

Frank is the author of acclaimed collections such as ‘Northern Spring’, ‘A Store of Candles’ and ‘Goat’s Milk- New and Selected Poems’. He was also awarded a Poetry Book Society recommendation and shortlisted for the National Book Circle Critic’s Prize for his collection ‘The Darkness of Snow.’

‘The Rain Barrel’ is published by Bloodaxe Books and copies will be available to purchase after the event.

Frank will be introduced on the night by musician and song writer Anthony Toner, a lifelong friend and great admirer of Frank’s work.
