Presentation marks 50th anniversary of the formation of the Ulster Defence Regiment

The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council has marked the 50th anniversary of the formation of the Ulster Defence Regiment with a special presentation.

Alderman Mark Fielding met with members of the UDR Association’s Coleraine branch in the Diamond for the socially distanced event.

The Mayor presented a framed Coat of Arms and received an engraved blackthorn stick and a copy of Dr Stephen Herron’s book ‘A Lifetime Looking Over Your Shoulder - The Experiences of the Ulster Defence Regiment’ to mark the occasion.
