Play park facilities public consultation events

Play park facilities public consultation events

Thu, April 27, 2017

Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council is holding public consultation events and undertaking online surveys about play park facilities in the area.

The purpose of the exercise is to undertake an audit of the quality, quantity and distribution of the current play park provision. This will be used to create a strategy that will guide the future development of play facilities, in a way that is affordable, high quality, inclusive, sustainable and consistent with current best practice.

In addition to fixed play facilities, the strategy will also consider other interventions that could enhance the play experience for children in the area.

The events take place at the following locations:

Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart on Monday 15th May at 7pm.

Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre in Limavady on Tuesday 16th May at 7pm.

Ballymoney Town Hall on Wednesday 17th May at 10am

Sheskburn House, Ballycastle on Thursday 18th May at 7pm.

The venues will be open half an hour before the event begins.

If you would like to attend one of the sessions, please pre-register by emailing your name alongside details of the session you would like to attend to alan.herron@playboard.co.uk.

If you are unable to attend but would like to feed your views into the process you can do so by completing an online survey.  Surveys are available for three types of respondents and can be accessed by clicking on the relevant link below:
