PCSP contribute to peaceful event in Portstewart

Causeway Coast and Glens Policing and Community Safety Partnership helped create a peaceful St Patrick’s Day in Portstewart.

Along with partner agencies such as the PSNI, NIFRS and The Education Authority, a safe and family friendly atmosphere was enjoyed by all.

This was achieved with the help of many street pastors and the Causeway Coast vineyard who patrolled the streets and engaged with members of the public by directing them to the many activities on offer.

Melissa Lemon, PCSP Officer on duty said: “Anti- social behaviour and keeping people safe is one of the Policing and Community Safety Partnership’s main aims. It is brilliant to have the support of our partner agencies to ensure the wider community can enjoy days like this in our Borough. It is hoped that the public continue to co-operate in future events.”
