Fri, January 06, 2017

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre has a feast of creative workshops in store throughout January to March for children and young people.

The programme kicks off with the popular Dramabugs on Thursday 19 January. This brilliant six week course runs from 4.30-5.15pm weekly and helps children aged 3-6 years come out of their shells through movement, dance, speech and drama in a gentle and informal environment.

Express Yourself experimental drawing sessions with artist Gail Mahon then run on Saturday 21 and 28 January from 1.30-3.30pm. These sessions for 8-16 year olds are great fun with participants making drawings out of light, string, found objects and much more besides!

The regular Saturday Art Club, Artysmarties, for ages 5-7 years starts another four week run on Saturday 18 February from 2-4pm. On those same dates and times, young people aged 8+ years can also sign up to Illustrate! This is a fantastic four week course with artist Linda Lewis exploring some of the world’s best and most beloved children’s book illustrators with participants making their own illustrations and storyboards.
