Music and dance event for older people at Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre

Mon, February 03, 2020

Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre is hosting a music and dance event for older people on Wednesday 19th February between 12noon and 2pm.

Come along to ‘True Confessions’ for live music with the Over The Hill band playing tunes from the 1950s through to the 1970s or enjoy a group song writing session with musician Paul Kane as he sings you through the afternoon.

You can also try a gentle dance in your seat, or on the floor, led by the talented team from Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company, who will be on hand to teach the audience a few moves. Enjoy some craic and banter and all the project asks is that you tell us your True Confessions of your misspent youth! This dementia friendly event is open to all abilities and ages, including younger family members.

The project is funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, in partnership with the Golden Thread Galley, Belfast, Flowerfield Arts Centre and the Over The Hill Music Collective. The event is free, but please book in advance. Group parties welcome. Contact 028 777 60650 to secure your place.
