Local history talks return to Ballymoney Town Hall.

Mon, February 20, 2017

Local historian Mr S. Alex Blair will return to Ballymoney Town Hall on Wednesday 22nd February with the second history talk in his spring series.

The talk will explore the life of William McKinley - one of many Scotch - Irish presidents with Ulster links. His great-great-grandfather emigrated to America from Conagher, near Dervock in 1743. The talk will detail the 25th president’s progress to The White House and how it ended tragically in assassination.

The final talk of the series takes place on Wednesday 22nd March. It will be based around the life of Andrew Bonar Law, the only British Prime Minister born outside the British Isles.

Both talks begin at 8pm and cost £2 to attend.
