‘It Only Takes a Minute’ on stage at Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre

Mon, October 22, 2018

The award-winning C21 Theatre Company bring their acclaimed production It Only Takes a Minute to Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre on Tuesday 6th November at 7.30pm.

The play is a superb one-woman show focusing on the life of Michelle, a young woman with Asperger’s. Poignant, moving and hilariously funny at times, the piece begins with Michelle receiving her diagnosis and we follow her at various points in her life where she comes to terms with her condition with the help of Take That. We see the band becoming her confidants, mentors and best friends in the solace of her bedroom as she tries to make sense of her world. Throughout the play, Michelle sings along with passion to the band’s various hits and the audience are welcomed to join in!

Fun, exciting and dynamic, It Only Takes a Minute explores the condition with wit and integrity, casting the light on the increasing number of undiagnosed females living with undiagnosed Asperger’s and their struggle to live in a neurotypical society. It features a stand out performance by Anna Kyle, one of Northern Ireland’s emerging disabled actresses, who also co-wrote the play with Tom Finlay.
