Information session for business ahead of Armed Forces Day

Information session for business ahead of Armed Forces Day

Fri, May 04, 2018

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is delighted that Coleraine has been selected as the host of the 2018 Northern Ireland regional event for the UK wide Armed Forces Day.

Event organisers are expecting more than 50,000 people to come to Coleraine town centre on Saturday 23rd June to enjoy the spectacle. This number of people presents not only a great opportunity to showcase the town centre of Coleraine, but also to generate extra business sales during the day.

Will your business be ready? Why not think about:

  • Having an Armed Forces Day window display to encourage new visitors?
  • Having an Armed Forces Day promotional or discount sale?
  • Staying open late to capture early evening business opportunities?

The ‘Rhythm of the Bann’ music and dance event will take place in Coleraine town centre from 5pm to 8pm, after the Armed Forces Day event is completed.

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council will be hosting information sessions to enable town centre businesses to get answers to any questions they might have about arrangements for the day.

The first information session will be in the Town Hall on Tuesday 8th May.

It will be a ‘drop-in’ format, with Council Officers present between 12 noon and 3.00pm, and from 5.00pm to 6.30pm.
