A ‘spook-tacular’ series of fun family workshops and activities are on offer this Halloween at Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre.

On Tuesday 26th October, Storytelling with Kelly Quigley will see some slightly scary tales and spooky fables for tiny tots and kids to enjoy.

Two sessions suitable for ages 3 -8 years old are available to book at 11am – 11:25am and 11:35am – 12pm. Each session costs £3, with each ticket covering a parent/guardian and child.

If you want to get creative, try the Halloween Lantern Workshops for ages 5 - 12 years old on Tuesday 26th October and create a unique decoration for your Halloween party or to take trick or treating.

Participants will create decorated wooden lanterns, and once completed an LED tea light can be added to let the spooky glow shine through.

Three sessions are available to book from 12pm – 1pm, 1:30pm – 2:30pm and 3pm – 4pm. Sessions cost £10 with each ticket covers a parent/guardian and child.

An amazing Mythology Mask Making workshop for ages 5 - 12 years old will be held on Friday 29th October from 11am - 1pm.

Guided by two of Anann's Arch's professional artists, participants will use recycled and gathered natural materials to construct and decorate their very own mask, just in time for the Samhain (Halloween) celebrations.

The Mythology Mask Making workshop sessions cost £10 with each ticket covering a parent/guardian and child.

The very popular Halloween Lego Animation workshop will return on Saturday 30th October with two sessions running from 10am – 12pm and 1pm – 3pm.

These mini animation masterclasses by Can Do Academy are a great introduction for children to the colourful world of Lego animation.

The workshop will allow participants to make a complete animated Lego film on an iPad, using sound effects, visual effects, titles and lots of imagination. Children can let their imagination run wild as they construct and animate worlds in front of the camera.

Children will learn to use special iPad apps and they will receive a copy of their film at the end of the session.  These sessions cost £12 per child and are suitable for older children ages 8 – 14.
