Have you ever wanted to be creative but you’re not sure where to start?

Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre is the perfect place to learn new skills in printmaking or visual art crafts. Or why not take part in a Meditative Movement workshop?

Artists from Derry Print Workshop will be delivering a two-part course in Intaglio Printmaking on Thursday 25th May and Thursday 1st June.

Starting at 2pm with a demonstration and short talk on the printmaking process, participants will produce their own simple intaglio drypoint print, inspired by the fabulous exhibition of Louise Bourgeois prints currently on display in the galleries.

Suitable for anyone aged over 14 years, this brilliant course is designed forbeginners, individuals and small student groups.

If you have always wanted to experiment with paint and textiles, Connecting Creatively will help you brush up on your skills. This informal and supportive course begins on Thursday 25th May from 7pm – 9pm and runs for four weeks. It is aimed at those aged over 18, regardless of their ability.

Seeking an afternoon of relaxation and inspiration? London-based dancer and performer Rachel Gomme will deliver a one off workshop in Meditative Movement on Saturday 27th May from 2pm - 4.30pm.

Rachel will guide participants through a series of movements combining breathing exercises and working with therapeutic materials including clay and textiles.

This workshop is suitable for anyone aged over 12 years, including family participation.
