Further update on re-opening of Leisure Centres and Sports Centres

Thu, August 13, 2020

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is continuing to do all it can to facilitate the re-opening of its Leisure Centres and Sports Centres.

Due to the rigorous processes required to ensure all facilities are safe for everyone, the predicted opening date is August 26th or earlier if this is achievable.

Having been closed for over four months, and with the added health and safety requirements related to COVID-19, huge efforts are ongoing to ensure that all centres are ready to welcome users back as quickly as we can without compromising on safety or further delay.

As we originally set out, a number of activities and bookings will be prioritised as part of a phased return of our leisure services and we will have further information about this in the coming days.
We will share details on what the visitor experience will look like so please keep checking our Facebook page and website for more information.

Further information about opening hours will be available later today and on Monday 17th August we will launch our new smartphone Leisure App which will provide customers with convenient online options for bookings and payments.

Our staff are looking forward to bringing sport, health and wellbeing services back to the Borough over the coming weeks, and we are calling on the public to afford us their further understanding as we aim to achieve this in the safest way for everyone.
