Flowerfield Arts Centre launches latest online exhibition
Fri, May 15, 2020
Flowerfield Arts Centre has launched its latest online exhibition at www.flowerfield.org.
Following on from the success of its inaugural online collection, ‘Quiet’ features work from over 20 creative artists associated with the Causeway Coast and Glens area.
The exhibition includes drawings, paintings, textile art, glass and creative writing in response to the current pandemic. Participating artists benefit from the encouragement which comes from connecting with each other and from having their work accessible internationally and available for online sales.
Online exhibitions are just one of the many virtual initiatives developed by Flowerfield Arts Centre to provide arts and cultural access and participation to communities while the Centre is temporarily closed.
Creative activities are very important for mental wellbeing of adults and children during this crisis and Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Arts Service is currently developing further exciting and therapeutic cultural programmes for everyone to participate in.
