Fabulous Student Showcase at Flowerfield Arts Centre

The annual Fabulous Student Showcase exhibition takes place at Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart this month.
The exhibition features over 80 art and craft pieces created by participants of the various learning courses held at the centre throughout the year. These creative classes in ceramics, glass, textiles, sewing and painting aim to develop participants’ skills with some emerging as practising artists and makers.
Some of the work on display includes stunning glass pieces, patchwork quilts, paintings, pottery and textile hangings and is testimony to the wealth of creative talent in the Borough.
Flowerfield Arts Centre has a fantastic range of creative courses coming up as part of August Craft Month, where beginners can learn everything from making colourful glass wind chimes and sun-catchers to porcelain pots. More experienced participants can enhance their skills in activities such as raku ceramics and glass blowing.
The Fabulous Student Showcase exhibition is open now and continues until Friday 29th June.
