Would you like to learn new skills and develop your creativity this August?

The Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre in Limavady is the perfect place for adults to get creative, with courses in basket making, felt art and glass fusing on offer.

Expert willow artist Louise Mc Lean will showcase her ‘Bogland, Branches and the Beach’ exhibition from Saturday 5th August. The award winning artist, who is based on the Causeway Coast, exhibits her work internationally and won ITV’s ‘Britain’s Craftiest competition’ in 2005. Complementing her exhibition, Louise will be hosting a one day course in basket making on Saturday 12th August from 10am – 4pm.

Glass artist Eleanor-Jane McCartney will teach a four week course in Fused Glass from Thursday 3rd August, 7pm-9pm weekly. Participants will learn glassmaking techniques and create glass coasters, artworks and tea light holders.

If glass artistry isn’t your preference, textile artist Linda Lewis hosts a one day course in Felt Art on Saturday 5th August from 10am - 4pm. Using the traditional craft of wet felting and needle felting, participants will create tactile and colourful artworks.
