Community Festivals Fund reopens for applications

Fri, November 26, 2021

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council has re-opened the Community Festivals Fund for applications until Friday 10th December.

Organisations can now apply for support for community organised festivals and events to take place in February and March 2022.

Twenty community organisations have already secured funding during previous rounds of the Community Festivals Fund, with over £28,000 in awarded for a range of Halloween, Ulster Scots, Christmas and Burns Night activities.

There is a lot of inspiration for themed festivals during February and March, with Fairtrade Fortnight running from 27th February to 13th March, International Women’s Day on 8th March and Seacthtain naGaeilge (Irish Language fortnight) from 1st March leading up to 17th March for St Patricks Day.

If your group has already made a successful application to the Community Festivals Fund you cannot apply again. New applicants who require guidance before applying can email community.development@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk to arrange to speak to a member of the Community Development team.

For application details and guidance please visit Council’s online funding hub at https://www.causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk/grantsandfunding.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 12noon on Friday 10th December 2021.

All planned events and activities should adhere to current and any future changes in regulations, as set out in the Government’s Coronavirus guidance specific to events and mass gatherings at the time of event planning and at time of delivery.
