Mon, October 09, 2017

Do you have a passion for food? Would you like to learn more about cooking healthy and affordable meals?

Causeway Food Forum is holding a free event on Saturday 14th October in Coleraine Town Hall. ‘Nutritious Nosh for Less Dosh’ will feature three cookery workshops, information about food classes, guidance on growing your own produce and much more.

From 10am-12.30pm, participants will have a chance to prepare pancakes with fruit, while in the afternoon you can learn how to make a curried lentil and vegetable stew (1pm-2.30pm) and chapatis, an Indian flatbread from 2.30pm-4pm.

The event is the first to be delivered by the Forum which was established earlier this year with the aim of promoting access to reasonably priced and nutritious food for everyone.

Representatives from forum member organisations will also be in attendance to provide guidance and information on all things food related.

The event will run from 9.30am – 4pm.

To book your place on any of the cookery workshops, please email: cookit@northerntrust.hscni.net or call 028 2563 5276. Transport is also available on request.
