Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council was represented at the recent NI Connections launch event held in Toronto, Canada.

The engagement was attended by Councillor Brenda Chivers, who was in the country at the time visiting family members.

The event, held in partnership with the NI Bureau, Queen’s University and Tourism Ireland, attracted over 100 business leaders from the Canadian market.

With direct links to Canada and North America via Project Kelvin, Councillor Chivers promoted the direct and indirect benefits of attracting potential businesses to invest in the Causeway Coast and Glens area.

The launch event was an opportunity to bring together diaspora network members from technology, financial and professional services, advanced manufacturing and engineering, materials handling, mining, agri-food and life and health sciences, education and business tourism.
