Calling all Creative Kids to Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre this September

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre in Limavady has a brilliant range of creative courses for children kicking off this September.

Starting on Saturday 3rd September, the ArtySmarties’ Saturday Morning Art Club for ages 7-12 years runs for four weeks from 11am-1pm. Budding artists will learn about some of the world’s greatest artists and make their own mini-masterpieces using a range of different materials and techniques.

The popular ‘Dramabugs’ for young children aged 3-6 years returns on Friday 9th September from 4.30pm to 5.15pm for a six week run. This course is brilliant for helping little ones come out of their shell, combining movement, drama, performance and speech.

On Thursday 22nd September, acclaimed animation artist and illustrator, Corrina Askin will host a very special after-schools masterclass in illustration for young people aged 13-18 years.

Currently showing some of her illustrations and animations in the ‘From Sketch to Screen’ exhibition at the Arts Centre, Corrina does animation for international television and film companies and has also won international awards for her book illustration. This is not an opportunity to be missed for young people passionate about art, design and animation!
