Fri, June 02, 2017

The latest in a series of information events ahead of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open takes place in Portstewart Golf Club on Tuesday 13th June.

Business representatives and members of the public are invited to come along on the day to hear more about the event and the opportunities it presents for Portstewart and the wider area.

There are just weeks left before the tournament tees off in the seaside town, from July 4th – July 9th.

The engagement event, which follows on from those held back in March, will include updates from Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council and the PSNI. It will cover topics such as traffic and travel, access arrangements and the entertainment programme, and there will be opportunities to ask questions.

With over 100,000 people expected to descend on Portstewart, the Irish Open offers a unique economic opportunity. The tournament will also be broadcast worldwide, showcasing the destination to a huge global audience.

The engagement event on June 13th has been split into three one-hour sessions, in order to capture the biggest potential audience:  1pm - 2pm; 3.30pm - 4.30pm and 6pm -7pm.
